Spring Wardrobe Budget

Spring is here!! For those of us in the midwest it’s been quite the waiting game, but as I look outside and see the sunshine going strong and my absent jacket I can speak in confidence that WE HAVE MADE IT! With each changing of the season, I allow myself a budget to switch out my wardrobe. This budget changes based on where we are at financially and what pieces I can bring with me into the next season. Tips For Surviving Solo When Your Spouse Travels For Work

Those of you who know me well or have been following along with me for the past few years likely know that my husband often travels for work. The time away can be anywhere from 2 days to 6 weeks (wuff training camp). This week, most recently, Mike was gone for the week so I was flying solo. Side note – I know the sensitivities out there around calling this “single parenting” and I have to say I completely understand. When Mike is away he calls, we Facetime and I KNOW he is coming back eventually (that mental strength). It’s freaking hard to do it alone for that period of…

Postpartum Swimsuit Confidence

Postpartum body confidence, for me, has many layers and is a bit of a roller coaster. After having two babies within two years it’s no surprise that my body has most definitely changed. It’s changed in many ways, not just physical, and it’s a journey to get back to where I was or my new normal because why think about going backward when the only way to go is forwards. This goes to show how different each baby is. The list I have below are the ones that have worked across both of my babes (some…

Sweatshirts & Potty Training – the two go hand in hand right?! 🙂 We recently took the plunge in parenting which is potty training and I thought I’d share what’s working for us, what has not and some life saving products which have helped tremendously! Additionally, I’ve been VERY into sweatshirts lately because…comfort right? Luckily there are a TON of cute comf clothes out there right now. I pulled together all of my favorites from my closet and also those currently on my wish list. Outfit details: Sweatshirt; Jeans; Tennis Shoes Let’s start with potty training though shall we?! If I’m being totally transparent, Madeline has definitely been ready for…

The toddler years are upon us and it’s been so much fun to see MK grow into a real little person with her own little personality. However, if you also have a toddler, you know that with that comes some VERY real feelings. Feelings are something MK has plenty of but is not quite sure how to control or manage them which makes her “100% on” all. the. time. Pretty soon we are going to add one more toddler aged babe (cal pal) to the list and frankly, it’s terrifying. Over the course of the past year and a half, we’ve come across some little tricks (some through books, some…
