My 3 Favorite Things of the Week

Happy Monday! If you follow me on Instagram, I mentioned that I have a new series coming to the blog called, “My 3 Favorite Things of the Week.” Essentially, I’ll be sharing three of my favorite things each Monday. Favorite things can be anything from items of clothing that I love or beauty products to baby items! It will be across the board about items that I NEED to share with you guys! I’ll be doing a sneak peek on Instagram stories on Sunday nights if you want to follow along. I’ll likely be trying on any clothing items I recommend so you can see them in person and demonstrating…

Fall Trends With Tobi

I don’t know about you guys, but today in Minneapolis, it finally felt like fall! The crisp breeze was welcomed and I could not wait to get up and throw on some of my favorite cooler weather pieces. I have been loving the trends for fall this year. From the closet staples like flannel and chunky sweaters to the newer trends like velvet, I’ve been counting down the days until it was acceptable and tolerable to wear them. See ya later, 90 degree days, show me all the 60 degree days stat! That is why I was thrilled to collaborate with Tobi on a series of fall trends. They sent…

My Recent Fall Wardrobe Buys!

Hi friends! I don’t know about you but I definitely took advantage of the Labor Day sales last weekend. As I’ve mentioned in the past, I’m trying to be smart about shopping rather than impulse buying which is SO easy to do! Therefore, I tried to focus on key pieces that would fit nicely into my wardrobe. To me, this meant shirts in neutral tones, dresses that can take me from work to HH and weekend wear. One of my favorite items is this Faux Suede Jacket from Zara. It fits so well & is incredibly slimming. I’d highly recommend if you are looking for a light fall jacket a good…

Latest Sephora Haul!

There is nothing I love more than going to Sephora and stocking up on new pretties. I almost always leave with about 5 extra things than the ONE thing I came for. It’s too easy to go a little crazy! 🙂 I posted my haul on my Instagram stories this week and received a few questions about the products and how I like them. Therefore, I thought I’d pull together a quick blog post outlining the items and my review of them thus far. There are DEFINITELY some standouts! Yves Saint Laurent: The Shock Mascara. I have been looking for a new mascara that gives my lashes the volume I…

Bottle Feeding & Why It Works For Our Family

This post is particularly close to my heart because there is so much unnecessary shame around how a mother chooses to feed her baby. Like it’s anyone else’s business right?! After I had Madeline I gave into the judgement from other moms for literally every little thing a mother could do. From how to soothe your baby (pacifiers/thumbs), baby wearing & co-sleeping to breast vs bottle feeding. It inevitably drove me into pretty intense postpartum anxiety. When I got pregnant with Calvin, I vowed I would NEVER let other people interfere with my sanity and parenting again. We would do what was best for our family. Which leads me to this…

Corduroy Jumper + Madeline’s Big Sister Skills

Hi friends, Happy Friday! We’ve had a rough week of colds in our house and I’m crossing my fingers we’re on the end of it. I’ve had it the worst, but that’s probably because I’ve subconsciously tried to take everyone’s sicknesses on myself. Nothing is worse than having sick young kids (especially when one is a newborn) and my husband sick…we don’t even want to go there. Guys, right? 🙂 We recently took a trip out to Seattle to visit my sister. We took the same trip last year and WOW what a difference a year makes! This year we added another child to the mix and Madeline was a…

My Hair Guide: Tools, Routine & Talent

Hi all! Some of my most asked questions are all around my hair, so I thought I’d put together an entire post on it. Honestly, I have such strong imposter syndrome that I am humbled even a few of you are curious about how I do my hair, however I also have an incredible group of stylists here that help as well as some key products. I have to give credit where credit is due! My Hair Squad Let’s start with the most important part – the lifesavers I refer to as my “hair squad.” If you are in the Minneapolis area, I highly recommend Haus Salon. I just started going…
